GPBL 2022’s inaugural season kicks off on August 12 at the Karnataka Badminton Association.

The first game of the inaugural GPBL season will be played between Bandipur Tuskers and Mandya Bulls, followed by Kodagu Tigers Vs. Mangalore Sharks
Teams-
There are a total of eight teams that will be featured in GPBL 2022 and each team consists of superstar mentors.
1) Bengaluru Lions
Players – Janani Ananthkumar, Bhargav S, Nithin HV, Sanjeeth S, Vaibhav Srinath, Aditya Diwakar, Sudeep Suresh, Supraja.
Mentor- PV Sindhu.
2) Kodagu Tigers
Players – Saneeth Dayanand, Rujula Ramu, Ramya Venkatesh, HR Vasantha Kumar, Vishesh Sharma, Sheetal D, Adarsh Kumar, Saif Ali
Mentor- Ashiwini Ponnappa.
3) Mandya Bulls
Players – Sai Pratheek, Ananya Praveen, Ashish Surya, Kiran Balaji, Anirudh Deshpande, Karthikey K, Nitin Sappar, Ruth Misha Vinod,
Mentor- Sai Praneeth.
4) Malnad Falcons
Players – Mithun Manjunath, Drithi Yatheesh, Pruthvi Roy, SK Shamanth, Venkatesh Prasad, Pranav Krishnamurthy, K Arvind, Janvi.
Mentor- Chirag Shetty.
5) Bandipur Tuskers

6) Mysore Panthers

League Format-
The tournament will take place as a round robin and four teams will advance to the playoffs. Each team will play five games throughout the league phase and the game will consist of three sets consisting of 15 points each. The league will have a unique format which will start with two single players for the first seven points and will turn to doubles for the next seven and eventually to third for the last seven. The team that scored 21 points, and in the beginning, will win the tie.
Tickets-
The GPBL tickets price starts from Rs 300/day to 1500 for daily passes and the season passes will be available from Rs 2500 to Rs 10,000.
