Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023 Dates
The 2023 Festival of Speed will take place between two F1 races from Thursday, July 13 through Sunday, July 16.
Even though this year’s June date is a little later than normal, it always takes place in the summer. Additionally, it typically occurs on the same weekend as the British Grand Prix, which is held at Silverstone the previous weekend this year.
A week later is the Hungarian Grand Prix, making this an excellent time for the FOS to get people’s attention. It also gives several F1 drivers the chance to attend, as they always do. Indeed, McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari, and Williams are the four F1 teams now in route to the event.
Moto2 will be represented by home star Dixon, with his Triumph-powered GASGAS Aspar machine, meanwhile the list of Legends already confirmed for the 30th anniversary event includes Alex Criville, Casey Stoner, Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, Jorge Lorenzo, Kenny Roberts Jnr, Kevin Schwantz, Mick Doohan, Randy Mamola and Wayne Gardner – who won a total of 37 World Championships between them.
Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023 location
On the grounds around Goodwood House in West Sussex, the Festival of Speed is held. Goodwood is close to Chichester and is accessible from significant cities including London, Brighton, and Southampton.
Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023 tickets and camping
Tickets for the Festival of Speed are in high demand and many of them have already sold out months before the event, even if there are still options before the dates in July. Depending on whether you want to engage in any good dining or other forms of hospitality while you’re there, the price of an admission-only ticket can range from £60 to several hundred pounds.
You may also buy a helicopter ride to observe the cars climb the famed hill on the circuit in addition to grandstand seats for the occasion.
For the 2023 event, camping was offered starting at £285 per pitch, however it is currently sold out. The campsites open at noon on the Wednesday prior to the event and close at noon on the following Monday for those who purchased a camping pass for this year.
Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023 schedule
We do know that this year’s FOS theme will be “Goodwood 75,” which will involve a specific Goodwood 75 hill climb to highlight motorcycles and cars from the last 7 and a half decades. The full schedule has not yet been fully confirmed.
Full-Throttle Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Shootout Sunday make up the four days. On Shootout Sunday, drivers compete to set the fastest time on the hill climb to win the title of Festival of Speed Champion.
All four F1 teams—Williams, McLaren, Mercedes, and Ferrari—have announced that they will send representatives to display their vehicles at the event. Mick Schumacher will drive for Mercedes in his father Michael’s 2011 W02 car, and Esteban Gutierrez will drive the W12 model.
