According to Goal, the Parisians are close to concluding a deal for the Portuguese attacker in which they would pay a transfer price of €80 million, their largest cost paid for a player this summer. Ramos is said to have signed personal terms with PSG and will join the reigning Ligue 1 winners before the end of the week.
PSG previously spent €60 million on Sporting Lisbon midfielder Manuel Ugarte, while this summer’s signings include Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, and Lucas Hernandes.
While his salary at PSG isn’t known, Portugal striker Goncalo Ramos’ net worth is $4 million as of 2023 and he earned a £2,000,000 salary per season playing for Benfica.
Manchester United misses out signing Ramos
Meanwhile, Manchester United appears set to miss out on Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos, who is set to join Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days, according to the Daily Mirror. The Red Devils are on the verge of signing Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, but they were prepared to make a bid of over £69 million to get the Benfica attacker back in June.
Ramos scored 27 goals in all competitions for Benfica last season, garnering the attention of Europe’s elite clubs, including Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Ramos filling Ronaldo’s footsteps
Goncalo Ramos had been pushed into the eye of the storm earlier, but it was Portugal’s 21-year-old striker who brought the thunder, propelling his side into the World Cup quarterfinals. In an unexpected maiden World Cup start in place of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Benfica forward scored a superb hat-trick in a 6-1 thrashing of Switzerland to set up a Saturday clash with Morocco.
Ramos, nicknamed “Pistoleiro” for his gun-toting celebration, catapulted into the world football awareness despite just making his Portugal debut in a late tune-up friendly against Nigeria.
