On July 21, 2020, he made his first-team debut for Benfica when he replaced Pizzi in the 85th minute of a 4-0 away win over Desportivo das Aves in the Primeira Liga. He scored twice in 8 minutes.

During that season, Ramos played in the 2019-20 UEFA Youth League. He was a key part of Benfica’s run to the final, where they lost to Real Madrid. On August 2, Ramos scored his first hat-trick in a home win over Midtjylland in the first leg of the third qualifying round for the 2022–23 UEFA Champions League.

In a partnership with newly signed teammate David Neres, he scored two more goals and set up two more, including a goal and an assist in the win over Dynamo Kiev in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round for 2022–23, which helped his team qualify for the tournament.

On November 2, he scored his first goal in the UEFA Champions League this season. It was the first goal in Benfica’s UEFA Champions League group stage win over Maccabi Haifa, which sent the team to the next round.

At the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship in England, Ramos played for Portugal’s under-17 team. In this tournament, he played in two games and scored a goal against Slovenia in the group stage.

Ramos was on the Portugal team that came in second at the 2019 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Armenia, behind Spain. He scored four goals in five games, including a hat trick in the semi-final win over the Republic of Ireland by a score of 4-0.

Ramos was called up to the senior team for the first time on September 20, 2022, to replace Rafa Silva, who had retired from international football, for the upcoming 2022-23 UEFA Nations League games against the Czech Republic and Spain. On November 10, Ramos was named to Portugal’s 26-person squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
