Fans of GoldenEye 007 can now finally celebrate the confirmation of the news they have been waiting for years, know about the remake release date on Xbox
The venerable game has been recreated for Nintendo Switch and Xbox systems and will be released soon with a variety of features, including online play.
Long-running rumours claim that a port is under construction after many leaks in 2022 raised the possibility. Despite demands for clarity from fans, there was no official confirmation, and the game didn’t show at any of the Summer Game Fest 2022 events.

Coming to Xbox Game Pass and the Nintendo Switch is GoldenEye 007
Rare announced the news on Twitter and during the recently finished Nintendo Direct stream. As part of Xbox Game Pass subscription services, the 1997 Nintendo 64 classic will be “faithfully reproduced” and released for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
GoldenEye 007 from the N64 will also soon be available on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
Additionally, Rare revealed that the game now features achievements, including split-screen local multiplayer, native 16:9 resolution up to 4K Ultra HD, enhanced control choices, and a smoother framerate.
For gamers who wish to play the game in its full grandeur 25 years after its first release, this is fantastic news.
Although the N64 game wasn’t widely anticipated when it was released all those years ago, it swiftly defied those predictions and helped pave the way for the FPS genre, which now makes up a significant portion of the gaming market.

To commemorate the game’s 25th anniversary and its lasting impact on the video game industry, a documentary about its creation was published this year.
Players have been eagerly anticipating a remaster to release soon ever since the playback of the cancelled Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) 2008 remake (which was also by Rare) was posted on YouTube last year. An achievement list for the game was discovered on the Xbox website in January 2022, which increased rumours.
However, despite widespread expectations, GoldenEye 007 did not appear at the Xbox Bethesda Games Showcase during the Summer Game Fest 2022. In a later statement, Jeff Grubb said that the game’s future was in doubt due to the continued Russian assault in Ukraine.
