Featuring top domestic talent along with international stars, the Guardians are ready for its debut season
Goa, October 3: Chirag Yadav will captain the 13-man Goa Guardians squad for the upcoming Prime Volleyball League 2025 season set to begin in Hyderabad from October 2nd.
The squad, led by head coach TC Jothish, is a blend of experienced campaigners and exciting new additions, including 2 foreign players who bring international experience to the Guardians’ roster. Coach Jothish stated, “The team is preparing exceptionally well for the tournament. Our focus is on building a cohesive unit by having them train and play together. To achieve this, we extensively practice various formations in anticipation of the upcoming games.”
Speaking about the team’s preparation, Aravindhan S, who plays in the setter position said, “The training sessions at Don Bosco Oratory, Panaji in Goa, over the past month were good. The team was performing well and the practice sessions were excellent. Goa Guardians is a new franchise and it’s great that more players get a chance to participate in the volleyball league.
“This marks the Goa Guardians’ inaugural season in the Prime Volleyball League,” stated Prince Malik, reflecting on his new team. “It’s been a fantastic experience so far; everyone is incredibly welcoming. While beach volleyball is more common here, the turnout of supporters at our practices has been truly heartwarming.”
