The Rugby Premier League 2025 is set to bring a new era of professional rugby to the Indian subcontinent. The competition features a high-octane 7s format, with six teams battling it out over 34 matches in just 15 days. Each of the teams represent a different city, set to build regional loyalty and rivalries.
Rugby Premier League 2025 start date and venue
The league is set to kick off on Sunday, June 15, and conclude on Sunday, June 29. All of the matches will take place at the Brihanmumbai Keeda Ani Lalitkala Pratishthan Andheri Sports Complex.
The tickets for the Rugby Premier League in Mumbai are priced at Rs 49 and Rs 99 and fans who want to buy tickets for the tournament can do so by logging onto the BookMyShow website.
Rugby Premier League 2025 format
The tournament follows a double round-robin format, with each of the six teams playing each other twice. The top four teams in the points table standings will then advance to the semifinals followed by a third-place match and a grand final.

The six franchises are – Mumbai Dreamers (owner Dream Sports), Delhi Redz (owned by RMZ, one of the world’s largest family-owned alternative asset owners), Bengaluru Bravehearts (co-owned by Manipal Education and Medical group, InCred and Soham Infrastructure), Hyderabad Heroes (owner KLO Sports), Chennai Bulls (owned by Indian-Australian sports company AVID Sports – the only foreign owned RPL team) and Kalinga Black Tigers and all matches will be broadcast live on Star Sports and JioHotstar.
