Thanks to a crucial win by their substitute player Sara Khadem, Triveni Continental Kings secured a hard-fought victory against bottom-placed Chingari Gulf Titans. Meanwhile, Ganges Grandmasters managed to snap their losing streak with 8-7 close victory against Balan Alaskan Knights. Following these results, Ganges Grandmasters have retained their top position with 15-points from eight matches. However, Triveni Continental Kings sit in fifth-place with just nine points from seven ties.
On Thursday, fans witnessed some intense matches including Ian Nepomniachtchi vs. Viswanathan Anand that ended in a tie. During another key match of Thursday, Nodirbek Abdusattorov managed to defeat Richard Rapport but was heartbroken after his team lost 7-8 against the Ganges Grand Masters.

2023 Global Chess League: prize money & participants list
It is confirmed that the 2023 Global Chess League will have a net prize pool of $1,000,000 and approximately $500,000 will be awarded to the winning team’s owner. Meanwhile, the runner-up team’s owner will receive $250,000. Additionally, the winning team’s manager will bag rewards worth $5,000 and each member of the winning team will be awarded with prize money of $7,500.
