The 2022 BetVictor Gibraltar Open is a professional snooker tournament that will take place at the Europa Point Sports Complex from March 24 to March 26, 2022. The tournament is the 14th ranking event of the snooker season 2021–22. The Gibraltar Open, which began in 2015, is now in its seventh year.

The tournament is being held at the Europa Point Sports Complex, Gibraltar. The final is slated for Sunday, Wednesday 26th.

Tournament Format And Rules

Judd Trump, the reigning champion, is in play for the third year in a row, as the breakneck event crowns a champion from a pool of 128 participants in just 72 hours.

The knockout system at Gibraltar Open 2022 will reduce the 128 contestants to just two in 72 hours, allowing the players to compete in the showcase final. The best of seven frames will be used in each round, including the final.

Neil Robertson advanced to the third round of the Gibraltar Open 2022 with victories against Oliver Lines and Liang Wenbo, winning both matches 4-2. After holding off a Liang comeback earlier in the day, the 2010 world champion beat world number 67 Lines with runs of 61, 67, 61, and 112 in the Round of 64.

Later in the day, Neil Robertson breezed past Rory McLeod to win his third round match with a score of 4-1. With his win, Robertson has qualified to the Round of 16 at Gibraltar Open 2022. In the Round of 16, hw will face Welsh player Jak Jones.
