The 2022 BetVictor Gibraltar Open was a professional snooker tournament that took place at the Europa Point Sports Complex from March 24 to March 26, 2022. The tournament was the 14th ranking event of the snooker season 2021–22. The Gibraltar Open, which began in 2015, completed its seventh year.

Tournament Format And Rules
Judd Trump, the reigning champion, was in play for the third year in a row, as the breakneck event crowned a champion from a pool of 128 participants in just 72 hours. However, Judd Trump bowed out of the tournament after losing 0-4 in the Round of 16.
The knockout system at Gibraltar Open 2022 reduced the 128 contestants to just two in 72 hours, allowing the players to compete in the showcase final. The best of seven frames will be used in each round, including the final.

On the final day, favourites Judd Trump and Neil Robertson lost in the Round of 16 and opened way for the underdogs. In the final, English player Robert Milkins faced fellow country player Kyren Wilson for the title. Robert Milkins won the final comfortably with a score of 4-2 and won the Gibraltar Open Snooker 2022 after racing to an early 3-0 lead and preserving it.
Milkins won his first ranking title in his 27-year professional career with this victory. Since Doug Mountjoy won the 1988 UK Championship, Milkins became the oldest first-time winner of a ranking tournament at the age of 46.
