Shannon Sharpe, one of LeBron James’ most ardent supporters has conceded that Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best player in NBA currently
Struggling to cope with Phoenix Suns in the opening exchanges of the NBA finals, it looked like the Milwaukee Bucks had faltered when it mattered the most.
Losing both of the opening encounters of the series, the Bucks stared at a daunting task. Returning from 2-0 down in the finals is something very few sides have done, a challenge which looked unlikely for the club to achieve.

However, Giannis Antetokounmpo had different plans. The Greek Freak upped the ante when it mattered the most, making amends for his team’s sorry display in the first couple of games.
Taking control of Milwaukee’s destiny, the player from Greece took charge of the side’s modus operandi. He dictated play on the court for his side ensuing the second game as he ended up decimating the Suns henceforth to take his team to a 4-2 win.
The fulcrum of Milwaukee’s Larry O’Brien trophy triumph, Giannis delivered one of the finest showings in the finals as he conjured up a 50 point display in the all important game 6. It ended up winning win the MVP of the finals title, one he was rightfully deserving of.

And Shannon Sharpe, one of the finest names to have graced the NHL has been left besotted by Giannis as well. The old Denver player who is one of LeBron’s James’ biggest admirers was left enamoured by Giannis’ showings as he admitted that the land of the NBA currently sees Giannis as its best player.
“I’m willing to concede right now that Giannis is the best player in the NBA,” Sharpe wrote on Twitter.

While Giannis was outstanding this season, he still has some way to go before he can level LeBron James when it comes to NBA wins. Where this was Giannis’ inaugural win, LeBron James has already won it one four occasions with the most recent being the 2020 triumph with LA Lakers.
