Although different sums have been reported, we can usually conclude that Davis is set to make a cool $5 million and Garcia is expected to take home roughly $2.5 million, which is nearly half of Davis’ guaranteed earnings. Those amounts, while considerable, do not account for the 50-50 split that was agreed upon for the pay-per-view cash generated by the bout. Regardless of whether we use the more cautious 500k buys for pay-per-view, which would result in each fighter earning $21,250,000, or the previously indicated one million, this is going to be a significant payout for both competitors.
Ryan Garcia was forced to fall to the ground after Davis struck a short, left-handed liver blow. In a matter of seconds, Garcia was declared out and Gervonta Davis won via knockout in the seventh round in front of a boisterous crowd at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, maintaining his perfect record. Before Davis knocked him out in the seventh round with a liver blow to end the fight and further boost his star power, Garcia had some success landing right punches in the sixth round.

Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia: match events & post-match reactions
Garcia had a great first round and was pressing Davis when he was caught in Round 2 with an overhand left. The 24-year-old boxer quickly stood up and finished the round, but the 28-year-old fighter was superior to him for the following three rounds. Both Davis and Garcia are known for their speed and power, but Davis, who won his first world title at the age of 22, has a lot more ring smarts than Garcia does, and it was evident when he controlled the fight’s distance and pacing in the middle rounds.
Garcia, though, displayed some grit and offensive diversity in Round 6 by landing a pair of right hands and continuing the pressure techniques that had won him the first round. Garcia continued to be aggressive in Round 7, scoring once again with a right hand, but Davis connected with a short left to the Instagram sensation’s upper-right rib cage that wounded him right away but didn’t cause him to go to the ground until a few seconds later.
