Winners of the singles division in the 2024 German Open will receive a prize of $15,750, and the doubles champions will be awarded $16,590. Those who secure second place in the singles category will receive $7,980. Notably, the total prize pool for this esteemed BWF World Tour Super 300 event amounts to $210,000.

In Mulheim, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand will lead the Indian challenge in the absence of these top players. Treesa and Gayatri played crucial roles in securing the historic gold medal for the Indian women’s team at the 2024 Badminton Asia Team Championships in Busan earlier this month. They aim to maintain their excellent performance in Germany.

Chou Tien Chen, currently ranked 14th globally and holder of a bronze medal from the world championships, leads the lineup of men’s singles players. Kiran George, positioned at 37th in the world rankings, and Sathish Kumar Karunakaran, placed at 50th globally, are also participating. S Sankar Muthusamy Subramanian aims to qualify for the main draw. Aakarshi Kashyap and Tanya Hemnath will be the representatives for India in the women’s singles main draw.
