Two Indian badminton players, Saina Nehwal and Lakshya Sen will participate in the German Open 2023 BWF Super 300 competition. Srikanth Kidambi withdrew.
Lakshya Sen and Saina Nehwal will represent an Indian team of ten players at the German Open 2023 badminton event on Tuesday in Mulheim.
Sadly, no Indian badminton players are competing in either the men’s doubles or the women’s doubles events at the German Open. B Sumeeth Reddy and Ashwini Ponnappa will participate in a mixed doubles match in Mulheim

Meanwhile, after recently parting ways with her South Korean instructor Park Tae-sang, the top female singles player PV Sindhu will not participate in this BWF Super 300 event.
Former No. 1 in the world Kidambi Srikanth has also withdrawn. Srikanth was set to play Rasmus Gemke of Denmark, but he backed out at the last minute.
The Commonwealth Games champion in men’s singles, Lakshya Sen, is seeded sixth and will play Frenchman Christo Popov in his first match.
The other Indian badminton player in the men’s singles main event, Mithun Manjunath, will compete against the fourth-seeded and former world champion from Singapore, Loh Kean Yew, in the round of 32.
In the first round of the women’s singles competition, Saina Nehwal will face off against one of the qualification champions. The bronze medalists from the London Olympics can compete against Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand in the Round of 16.
Malvika Bansod will compete against Wang Zhi Yi, the fourth seed and silver medalist from the Chinese Youth Olympics, in the women’s singles main draw match.
