At the BetVictor German Masters in Berlin, Neil Robertson fought back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat close friend Joe Perry 5-3 and keep his chances of winning the Brandon Parker Trophy for the first time alive. Robertson will now compete against Snooker Shoot Out winner Chris Wakelin in the second-round, who defeated Si Jiahui 5-4 earlier today.
Jack Lisowski defeated his childhood hero Jimmy White 5-2 in a tight match. By overpowering Cao Yupeng 5-4, Louis Heathcote overcame an early 0-3 deficit. Heathcote, who is ranked 84 in the world and is fighting for his survival on this tour, won thanks to breaks of 51, 83, 114, 71, 57, & 53. Meanwhile, Kyren Wilson defeated Jimmy Robertson by score of 5-2 to improve his standing in the BetVictor Series. It is confirmed that Tom Ford will be the next opponent of Wilson, after he managed to emerge victorious against Tian Pengfei by score of 5-3.
