The draw and game schedule for this weekend’s Interwetten German Darts Open, a European Tour competition, have been made public and as per updates, Peter Wright will face either Ian White or Raymond van Barneveld in the second round match. From September 9 to 11, Jena’s Sparkassen-Arena will host the 11th European Tour competition of the year as the chase for a spot in October’s Cazoo European Championship continues.

2022 Interwetten German Darts Open Date, Time, Venue, Format, Draw, Ticket, And Full Schedule
Five-time World Champion Van Barneveld will compete against 2019 finalist White in Friday’s opening round for the chance to take against Wright on Saturday. Another intriguing first-round match will pit German No. 1 Gabriel Clemens against Martin Lukeman, while Northern Irish combo Daryl Gurney and Josh Rock take on Connor Scutt and Geert Nentjes, respectively.
In the second round on Saturday, the seeded players will take the field as top seed Luke Humphries will take on either Jamie Hughes or Daniel Larsson in his attempt to win a fifth European Tour championship of 2022 World No. 1 Gerwyn Price will make his comeback to the European Tour against fellow Welshman Lewy Williams, while Saturday’s evening session will be highlighted by Wright’s matchup versus White or Van Barneveld.
Joe Cullen, who has won the Hungarian Darts Trophy, will compete against Joe Murnan as the Masters champion will seek back-to-back European Tour victories. In the second round, reigning European Champion Rob Cross will play either Clemens or Lukeman, while Nathan Aspinall—a semifinalist in Budapest last weekend—will take on a revitalized Steve Beaton.
The last 16 will take place in the afternoon session of Sunday and will be followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final in a thrilling evening session. All contests through to and including the quarterfinals are best-of-11-leg affairs, while the semifinals are best-of-13-leg affairs, and the championship game is best-of-15-leg affairs.

Prize money for the 2022 German Darts Open winner is £25,000 while prize money of £10,000 will be given to the runner-up. There will be a net prize pool of £140,000 and a guaranteed cash reward of £1,000 for each contender.
