2022 Interwetten German Darts Open Day 2 Results, Venue, Draw, Tickets, And Final Day Schedule
In a wild match at the Sparkassen-Arena, Wright defeated five-time World Champion Van Barneveld 6-3 to earn his first victory since coming back from gallstone surgery last month. Wright will now face Clayton in a thrilling round of 16 matchup after the NSW Darts Masters champion overcame a 4-3 deficit to eliminate his countryman Jim Williams.
In the other all-Welsh match of the evening, world number one Gerwyn Price overcame a 4-3 deficit to upset Lewy Williams in a thrilling match. Meanwhile, with a valiant 6-3 victory over Dutch qualifier Danny van Trijp, Schindler kept the dreams of the host nation alive. Other matches saw top seed Luke Humphries advance with a 6-3 victory over Daniel Larsson.
Earlier in the day, Dimitri Van den Bergh displayed remarkable performance in his opening match to secure a convincing 6-2 victory over David Evans. Luke Woodhouse, who made it to the final 16 for the second consecutive weekend after defeating Ryan Searle will now face the Belgian. In the last match of Saturday, reigning European Champion Rob Cross defeated Martin Lukeman 6-1 and sealed his berth in the round of 16 stage.
