Only Yelan leaks have been dug up, no concrete information is revealed by Genshin Impact, know its release date and features
Yelan is expected to be one of the latest characters in Genshin Impact. Yelan has been mentioned in a few leaks, but little is known regarding its involvement in Genshin Impact.
Many players, though, are curious about this new addition. It’s important to note that no information on this character’s Vision, weapon, or rarity has been confirmed. So far, only two concrete leaks have been linked to Yelan. The first time it happened was in July 2021, when her name was discovered in code. This character was recognised as a background character in a datamined cutscene by the leaker UBatcha in September 2021. Genshin Impact has had more visible influences in the past, such as Yae Miko’s resemblance to Yae Sakura.
Genshin Impact Characters: Characteristics Yelan Carries
Yelan is most likely a Liyue character. There’s still no word on whether Yelan is a male or female figure. If the character in the Moonchase cutscene is Yelan and not Madame Ping, the character can be seen with a Polearm.
Some gamers believe Yelan is Madame Ping, although there have been no solid leaks or confirmations to support this notion. At the end of the day, all players know about Yelan is that this name is in the game files.
There is currently no confirmed model or other valuable information available for Genshin Impact enthusiasts.
Related to Fu Hua?
Certain players noted aesthetic resemblance between Yelan and a popular character from Honkai Impact named Fu Hua when she first appeared in the leaked video. It’s currently uncertain if it is related to Fu Hua in any way, or if miHoYo got inspiration for the character from the Genshin Impact sister game.
Several Genshin Impact characters have designs that are comparable to Honkai Impact characters. The Anemo Archon Venti, for example, looks a lot like Wendy, the Wind Herrscher from Honkai Impact. Raiden Shogun has a similar appearance to Raiden Mei, the Thunder Herrscher. When parallels occur, they appear to be highly deliberate.
Giving the new character a visual connection to Fu Hua would jeopardise the relationship between Genshin and Honkai unless it is expected to play a significant part in the future of Genshin Impact. It’s most likely just a coincidence that they look alike.
