The official event itinerary provided earlier this week contradicts the release date of Genshin Impact 2.7, which was supposed to happen on May 11, 2022
The forecast for May 11, 2022, is based on two key factors:
- The banner of Ayaka will expire on May 10, 2022.
- Recent Version Updates always have lasted 42 days, and the 2.6 updates will be 42 days old on May 11, 2022. (March 30, 2022)
The second wave of advertising banners usually finishes the day before or on the day of the following Version Update. As a result, May 11, 2022, seemed like a safe bet.
Most Travelers had been predicting Genshin Impact 2.7 for months. However, based on the official events page for Version 2.6’s second half, that date has been tossed out the window.

Despite earlier advertisements for it in the 2.6 broadcast, Spices From the West was noticeably omitted from this lineup. Because Serenitea Pot maintenance has no set end date, Spices From the West’s absence makes sense.
Thankfully, miHoYo provided a suitable substitute in the form of Marvelous Merchandise. The event, on the other hand, has a very intriguing conclusion date.
The event itself isn’t particularly noteworthy, but have a look at the “Event Duration” section. Its span is stated to be from May 6, 2022, to May 13, 2022. Based on previous experience, the latter date falls 2 days after Genshin Impact 2.7 was slated to go live. Normally, events don’t extend past the next Version Update by more than a few days.
They usually come to an end on the day of the following update. It’s too early to say whether Genshin Impact 2.7 will be released on May 13, 2022, or not. For the time being, no banner has been revealed.
COVID-19 is the most often assumed reason for the delay of Genshin Impact 2.7. Its headquarters are in Shanghai, but there isn’t anything else going on there that gamers would know about for any other reason. Because it is a real-life event, it is impossible to predict how it may affect the game’s timeline.
If this causes the next version upgrade to be delayed beyond May 13, 2022, travellers should be kind and recognise that miHoYo has no control over the situation. It’s important to note that miHoYo hasn’t made any official statements about when the next Version Update will be released.
