Three upcoming new characters will come from Liyue and four from Inazuma, according to UBatacha and Uncle Dumb Dumb leaks in the Genshin Impact 2.3 update
MiHoYo’s free-to-play RPG has expanded to a whopping 41 characters since its premiere in September 2020, with more on the way in the weeks and months ahead. Dataminers and insiders have already disclosed some of the new faces that may be coming to the game in future updates. Here’s what we know about Genishin Impact New Characters in Version 2.3 and beyond.
While the Inazuma region has been the focus of new characters and story content for Genshin Impact since July, new leaks imply that developer miHoYo may soon turn his attention to Liyue. Three upcoming characters will come from Liyue and four from Inazuma, according to UBatacha and Uncle Dumb Dumb leaks.
Genishin Impact 2.3 Update New Characters, Release Date And Livestream
The new update will be out of November 24 will a special program for the update will livestream on Genshin Impact’s Twitch channel on 12 November at 7am.

YUNJIN
Yunjin was one of the first characters to leak in Genshin Impact, being discovered in January 2021 by dataminer Lumie Lumie. She was a five-star Polearm user with Geo talents in that early leak. Yunjin made his first appearance in-game during the Moonchase Festival in September 2021, in the background of a cutscene.
This new version of the character is slightly different — she still wields a Polearm, but due to the hue of her Vision, the god-given amulet that grants Genshin Impact characters their elemental talents, she is now thought to be Anemo, not Geo.
YELAN
Yelan is another polearm user and a Hydro character from Liyue. When dataminer Dimbreath discovered Yelan’s name in the code in July 2021, she was the first to be exposed. Yelan was recognised as a background character in a datamined cutscene by the leaker UBatcha in September 2021. Yelan bears a passing similarity to Fu Hua from miHoYo’s Honkai Impact, based on what we’ve seen thus far.
YAO YAO
Another character who leaked in early 2021 is Yao Yao. Unlike the rest of the characters on this list, Yao Yao has been depicted in official artwork, and leakers have revealed that she will be playable in the future. Dendro Catalyst user Yao Yao is suspected. She was taught by the same instructor as Xiangling and has lately started working for Ganyu.
ITTO
Itto is a horned figure in Inazuma who is frequently addressed by other characters. He’s currently thought to be a five-star character who uses a Geo Vision and carries a Claymore. In October 2021, a leak displayed his backside. Uncle Dumb Dumb confirmed that this was Itto. “Tall, with a big build and two enormous horns, initially looking to be menacing at first appearance,” Itto is described in the game.
Itto’s visage resembles Jin from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, according to Uncle Dumb Dumb.
When Itto will be played is uncertain. Dumb Dumb claims to be Uncle Dumb Dumb. Itto will be released as part of Version 2.4. Itto will be available in Version 2.3, according to UBatcha.
YAE
Yae is a five-star Electro Catalyst on the rise. As the head priestess at the Grand Narukami Shrine during the Inazuma plot, you most certainly interacted with her. Yae will be playable in Version 2.5, according to Uncle Dumb Dumb. UBatcha, on the other hand, had expected her to be playable in Version 2.2. Between those two patches, she’ll most likely come.
During the Inazuma plot, you may have interacted with Gorou. Within Kokomi’s army, he is a general. As a four-star Bow character with a Geo Vision, he’s projected to be playable. He will be playable in Genshin Impact Version 2.3, according to UBatcha.
