On Tuesday, members of an opposing gang attacked Tillu Tajpuriya inside Delhi’s Tihar Prison and murdered him.
The mobster, who goes by the nickname Sunil Mann,” was reportedly beaten with iron rods inside the maximum security jail in Tihar by gangster Yogesh Tunda and his associates. According to the report, Tajpuriya was brought to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital and pronounced dead there.
The attack also hurt Rohit, another prisoner. He is thought to be safe at this time. According to the report, Yogesh Tunda, Deepak Teetar, Riyaj Khan, and Rajesh, members of a rival gang, shattered the iron grills in their ward on the first level of the jail and killed him.

Tillu Tajpuriya was a renowned Indian mobster. He has been in the news because he was recently murdered inside Delhi’s Tihar Prison.
His real name was Sunil Mann Tajpuriya. He was born on July 11 in Tajpur Kalan, Delhi. He did his schooling at Maharaja Agrasen Public School in Narela, Delhi. Later, he attended Swami Shraddhanand College, University of Delhi, where he did a bachelor of arts.
He died on May 2, 2023, in Tihar Jail, New Delhi.
The police said Tillu was killed by four men, associates of the Gogi gang, inside Jail No. 8, where all of them were lodged.
His criminal background
Tillu Tajpuriya was the main suspect in the shooting that took place inside Rohini Court in Delhi. He had been imprisoned for a number of years and was facing murder accusations.
He was reputedly one of Delhi’s most renowned criminals and gave the order to carry out the 2021 Rohini Court gunfight that resulted in the death of mobster Jitender Maan, alias Gogi.
How was he murdered?
On Tuesday morning, rival gang members allegedly assassinated Tillu Tajpuriya inside Tihar prison. He was rushed to Delhi’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital after being critically hurt in the assault, where doctors there pronounced him dead.
He was attacked more than 45 times, which was ultimately his cause of death. According to the early postmortem findings, he had injuries to his head, chest, and back. According to the accounts, his body was where the remaining wounds were discovered.
