The Game4Ukraine charity match

The main aim of the upcoming charity match is to help raise funds help rebuild schools in the Ukraine that were destroyed during the Russian invasion. The rebuilding process will begin with the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynskyi School in Chernihiv Oblast. Russian missiles hit this school on March 4, 2022.

The event will also feature several musical performances before the match, during the halftime, as well as after the game. Artists like Tom Grennan, The Pretenders, Tom Walker, and more will perform at the event.

Game4Ukraine venue

Chelsea’s home stadium, Stamford Bridge, located in London, England will host the upcoming charity game. It was chosen based on Chelsea’s involvement in supporting the event. Stamford Bridge has previously hosted other charity matches in the past like the 2019 Soccer Aid fixture. Interestingly, the 2022 edition of that match took place in a different venue because former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich had ties with the Russian president Vladimir Putin.
