Gable Steveson, Olympics Gold Medalist Signs Contract With WWE

WWE have finally managed to land a stellar new name to add to their company with Gable Steveson, Tokyo Olympics gold medal winner signing a contract with them

At a time when the land of WWE has been riddled with a hoard of releases with the company releasing superstars left, right and centre, the company has finally managed to make an addition.

And its a notable one as well with Tokyo Olympics 2020, gold medal winner in wrestling, Gable Steveson coming on board with the company. Whilst there’s been no official announcement regarding this from either party, the Wrestling Observer have gone onto affirm that the contract Gable has recently talked about is indeed with WWE.

Steveson had tweeted earlier that he had “just put pen to paper.” It remains to be seen though if he’ll be returning to the University of Minnesota for his senior year with WWE envisaged to want to roll out their new talent at their earliest plausible in a bid to counter the string of announcements AEW is making.

The company had only recently brought on Gable’s brother, Bobby Steveson on board as well as one of their newest recruits in the WWE Performance Center. Gable who had made his presence felt at WWE SummerSlam in August had talked about a potential move to either WWE or UFC with him saying at the time, “Like I said, for me to have all these options with the WWE and the UFC is something special. I’m not sure where I’ll go.”

He looks to have made up his mind though with Vince McMahon’s approach having worked. Gable has triumphed at the Olympics, Big Ten and NCAA National Championships.
