After playing 100+ T20 internationals only 4 players have managed to score 3000 runs. Indian captain Rohit Sharma, New Zealand opener Martin Guptill, Ireland’s Stirling, and India’s Virat Kohli have managed to reach the landmark.
Shoaib Malik is the first player to play 100 T20 internationals
Pakistan’s All-rounder Shoaib Malik became the first player to play 100 T20 Internationals in 2018 against Zimbabwe. In the next year, Rohit Sharma became the 2nd player to play 100 T20 international matches against Bangladesh. In the same game, Rohit became the player with the most no. of sixes in a calendar year.
Virat Kohli played his 100th T20 International against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2022
The veteran Indian batsman is the new entrant to the list. He played his landmark game in the Dubai International Stadium in front of a huge crowd as the game was against Pakistan. India won the game with 5 wickets and Virat scored 35 runs off 34 balls. Kohli is currently going threw a lean patch and hence these days he is trying to spend too much time in the crease. His lean patch has affected his strike rate and average both. He used to have a 50+ average in all formats but due to his bad form, his average has dipped in T20Is to 49.
Even After 2 bad years, Virat has managed to have the best average among the all players who have played 100+T20Is.
