The Indian Super League is set to take place on October 7, 2022. The League was introduced in 2014 and is presently the top level football league across India.

The tournament presents some of the most important names of Indian football and other countries as well. The tournament is a franchise-based league, which is mostly owned by some of the business tycoons and Bollywood celebrities.

List of owners of every franchise in Indian Super League

• FC Goa: This franchise is owned by Jaydev Mody with 65% share, Alshay Tondon with 23% and Virat Kohli with 12% share. The club has played brilliantly over the last couple of years and won the 2019-20 ISL season.

• Hyderabad FC: The franchise belongs to the co-founder and CEO of Aimlytics Technologies, Vijay Madduri, former CEO of Kerala Blasters, Varun Tripuraneni and south actor Rana Daggubati. The club has undergone a number of changes in recent years that have seen it claim the 2021-22 season title.

• Jamshedpur FC: The franchise is owned by Tata Steel. The club has shown outstanding performances in the past and appeared as the contenders for the title.

• Odisha FC: Formerly known as Delhi Dynamos FC, it has changed its name to Odisha FC. The club is solely owned by GMS inc. However, the club is yet to make any difference in the ISL.

• NorthEast United FC: This franchise belongs to John Abraham, Jaya Balan and George John. As its name suggests, the franchise represents the seven states of the northeastern region of India. The club remained a underwhelming performer and is yet to make any positive impact in the competition.

• SC East Bengal: The franchise is owned by Shree Cement with a 76% stake and the rest remains at the East Bengal Club. The club is the representative of Kolkata, which is also known as the Mecca of football.

• Kerala Blasters FC: The franchise belongs to Magnum Sports Pvt Ltd and co-owners Chiranjeevi, Allu Arvind, Nimmagad Prasad and Anil Yerramreddy. The club is among the top three most supported cub in India. However, in spite of its popularity, the club has still not raised the title.

• Mumbai City FC: The club was set up by actor Ranbir Kapoor and Bimal Parekh in 2014. In 2019, City Football Group acquired a 65% stake in the Club. Mumbai City FC became the first football club in India within the framework of CFG. The Mumbai City FC was the winner of the 2020-21 season.

• Chennaiyin FC: This franchise belongs to Abhishek Bachchan, Vita Dani and former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The club won the title on two occasions.

• Bengaluru FC: The club belongs to the JSW group that also owns the IPL Delhi Capitals franchise. Bengaluru FC has won the league title on one occasion thus far.

• ATK Mohun Bagan: 80% of the club stakes belongs to Sanjeev Goenka, Utsav Parekh and Saurav Ganguly, while the other 20% belongs to the club. ATK Mohun Bagan is the most successful club in the history of ISL and so far has won three titles.
