The 9th edition of the Indian Super League will kick off on October 7, 2022. India’s 2022-23 football season is underway and ISL teams are taking part in the Durand Cup.

List Of Coaches Of Each Indian Super League (ISL) Teams For 2022-23 Season

The Indian Super League tournament is the highest level of football competition in India. The summer transfer window has ended and each team has updated their squad list along with the coaches.

It’s a little surprising this season, because no coach from India has been named for the 2022-23 season. The ISL team is composed of 11 international coaches. Of the 11 coaches, 4 come from Spain and England while the other three come from Germany, Serbia and Israel.

ATK Mohun Bagan

Head Coach: Juan Ferrando (Spain)

Juan Ferrando was appointed midway through the season last year. The Spanish helped the club reach the 2021-22 ISL season playoffs. ISL 2022-23 is going to be his first full season.

Kerala Blasters

Head Coach: Ivan Vulomanovic (Serbia)

The Serb became head coach of the club in June of last year. He helped the team to reach the final of the ISL 2021-22 season.

Hyderabad FC

Head Coach: Monolo Marquez (Spain)

It was an excellent season for Monolo last year as he led Hyderabad FC to take home the 2021-22 ISL season for the first time in three years of establishment.

Chennaiyin FC

Head Coach: Thomas Brdaric (Germany)

Thomas Brdaric is an experienced German coach who has provided his services to a number of German clubs, including the Wolfsburg Reserve in 2014-15 season. This season, he will lead the two-time ISL champion Chennaiyin FC.

FC Goa

Head Coach: Carlos Pena (Spain)

Carlos Pena is a former FC Goa defender who spent two years with the club between 2018 and 2020. This season he has been appointed as the head coach of his former team.

Bengaluru FC

Head Coach: Simon Grayson (England)

Simon Grayson will be replacing the former Italian coach after failing to deliver the playoff spot for the club. Two years have gone by since the club reached the playoffs. The British manager is going to have a huge responsibility on his shoulders to get good results this season.

Mumbai City FC

Head Coach: Des Buchingham

Des Buckingham became the first manager to secure the win in two AFC Champions League games. That season too, the club decided to continue with the British manager.

Jamshedpur FC

Head Coach: Aidy Boothroyd (England)

Aidy Boothroyd is an experienced manager who has managed Watford and Coventry City. This season, Aidy will take over from Owen Coyle.

Odisha FC

Head Coach: Josep Gombau (Spain)

Joseph Gombau has been re-appointed by the club for this season. He served as manager for Odisha FC in the 2019-20 season.

North East United FC

Head Coach: Marco Balbul (Israel)

The North East United FC had a disappointing season last year with a 10th-place finish under Khalid Jamil. Marco Balbul is an experienced coach who will lead the North East United FC this season.

Emani East Bengal FC

Head Coach: Stephan Constantine (England)

Another British manager, who led the 2002-05 and 2015-20 India National Team. East Bengal has struggled with their two-season campaign so far. Stephan Constantine will take over the management of the club this season.
