List of Mascots used in Commonwealth Games
• CWG 2022, Birmingham: The mascot for CWG 2022 is ‘Perry’ who is a jazzy bull with an athletic build. It has a multi-coloured hexagon which reflects the togetherness of participating athletes and people across the 72 participating nations in the competition. It is designed by a 10-year-old Emma Lou.
• CWG 2018, Gold Coast: The mascot chosen for the 2018 CWG was ‘Borobi’, a male Koala with blue fur and uneven markings on the paws. The name Borobi is derived from a dialect used by indigenous people in Australia across the Gold Coast Region.
• CWG 2014, Glasgow: The mascot chosen for the 2014 CWG was ‘Clyde’, an anthropomorphic thistle which is named after the River Clyde that flows through the centre of Glasgow. The design was made by 12-year-old Beth Gilmour.
• CWG 2010, Delhi: The mascot used for the 2010 CWG was ‘Shera’, a Royal Bengal Tiger with a white sporting jersey and a blue shorts. The word Shera comes from Hindi word Sher- meaning tiger. The mascot highlights the values of courage, power and grace.
• CWG 2006, Melbourne: The mascot chosen for the 2006 CWG was ‘Karak’, a red-tailed black cockatoo bird. Karak is among the endangered species of birds in Australia.
• CWG 2002, Manchester: The mascot chosen for the 2002 CWG was ‘Kit’, a cat who got immense popularity. His dance performance with Wira at the Kuala Lampur closing ceremony was watched by 500 million people across the globe.

•CWG 1998, Kuala Lampur: The mascot chosen for the 1998 CWG was ‘Wira’ the Orangutan. In the local Malaysian language, the word Wira refers to a warrior.

•CWG 1990, Auckland: Mascot ‘Goldie’, a Kiwi bird.
