Marcelo Arevalo of El Salvador and Jean-Julien Rojer of the Netherlands won the French Open men’s doubles title on Saturday, becoming Central America’s first Grand Slam winners.
The 12th seeds defeated Ivan Dodig of Croatia and Austin Krajicek of the United States with the score of 6-7 (4/7), 7-6 (7/5), 6-3 in just over three hours.

Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic won the women’s doubles tennis title at the 2022 French Open, defeating Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula in the final with a score of 2–6, 6–3, 6–2. It was their team’s second French Open victory (the first being in 2016).

Ena Shibahara of Japan and Wesley Koolhof of the Netherlands won their first Grand Slam championship in the French Open mixed doubles final on Thursday, defeating Norway’s Ulrikke Eikeri and Joran Vliegen of Belgium with a score of 7-6(5), 6-2.
After a tough first set on a sunkissed Court Philippe Chatrier, the second seed sailed through the second set, adding to Koolhof’s ATP Tour Finals triumph in the men’s doubles for 2020.
French Open 2022 Prize Money Distribution and Points Distribution
In doubles, the men’s and women’s teams will receive the same amounts of prize money and points distribution. Marcelo Arevalo and Jean-Julien Rojer will receive €580,000, 2000 ATP points, and the winner’s trophy, but Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek, the runner-ups, will not go home empty-handed. In addition, they will receive €290,000 in prize money and 1200 ATP points. The same goes for the women’s doubles team with the same amount of prize money and WTA points.
