The two had been in a tumultuous relationship since 2020, with Destini previously accusing Gibbs of ghosting her after she became pregnant in May of the previous year. Reports suggested that the rapper had urged her to get an abortion.
Known as TheFitMami online, Destini wished her followers a Happy Valentine’s Day on X with a tweet that said “spreading love, happy Valentine’s Day,” accompanied by an image of her now ex-boyfriend’s backside.
This led to the term “spreadie gibbs” trending on the platform, with many finding the viral tweet amusing and sharing their reactions online.

Netizens on X took the opportunity to troll Freddie Gibbs, with comments like “WHY IS SPREADIE GIBBS BACK ON MY TL?!” This isn’t the first time the phrase “spreadie gibbs” gained traction on X; Destini had tweeted a similar message the previous year.
The recent tweet has once again thrust the rapper into the spotlight, with internet users creating humorous memes about him.
Despite the viral post, Gibbs, also known as Fredrick Jamel Tipton, did not address the incident directly. Instead, he and his current girlfriend, Jasmine Grenaway, shared a video on Instagram celebrating Valentine’s Day in Dubai.
The couple was captured enjoying the scenic Dubai skyline with Lauryn Hill’s “Nothing Even Matters” playing in the background. Grenaway expressed her love for Gibbs in the post, referring to him as her soulmate.
The relationship between Gibbs and Destini had turned bitter over time. According to reports, Destini visited an abortion clinic but couldn’t go through with the procedure.
After the breakup, she claimed that Gibbs never checked on her or confirmed whether she went through with the abortion. Despite attempting to contact his manager and assistant, she received no response.
