Goal-keeper
Ederson Moraes ( Manchester City – £5.5m) was not tested to his limit but still managed to find a crucial save to add his first clean sheet which can only grow further considering his discipline in front of his goal.
Defenders
Trent Alexander-Arnold ( Liverpool – £7.5m) did not have his best match in the defense but will look to bounce back with good control in attack and defense as they face Crystal Palace.
Joao Cancelo ( Manchester City – £7.0m) was brilliant in the last season with his assisting capabilities which was not seen in the first match but could be regained as the season progresses.
Reece James ( Chelsea – £6.0m) was a part of an incredible clean sheet in their last match but was also booked for the offense which should not be his focus considering his amazing attacking talents that can continue to add to his contributions.
Kieran Trippier ( Newcastle United- £5.0 m) looked more comfortable with the team and tactics as compared to last season which quite rightly earned them a hard fought win in the first game week.
Midfielders
Mohamed Salah ( Liverpool – £13m) was more active in the second half and was able to get his team back in contention with 1 goal and 1 assist which makes him our prime choice for this encounter.
Bukayo Saka ( Arsenal – £8.0m) holds amazing goal-scoring potential and was able to find the assist for the own goal in the first match which can keep him motivated against Leicester this week.
Leon Bailey ( Aston Villa – £5.0m) has grown in confidence and was able to make significant chances which can be rewarded in their second game week match against Everton.
Marcus Rashford ( Manchester United – £6.5m) looked content in the alst match and tried to find several attacking chances but could fire back in their match against Brentford.
Forwards
Gabriel Jesus ( Arsenal – £8.0m) enjoyed an amazing pre-season but was not able to channel a similar form to start the campaign which could continue to fuel his confidence for this game week.
Erling Haaland ( Manchester City – £11.6m) scored 2 goals in his premier league debut and was the only player to do so after Sergio Aguero which speaks of great things to come which makes him our prime choice.
Substitutes
Danny Ward ( Leicester – £4.0m) did not have the best of outings as the first-choice keeper after conceding 2 goals which could well be the case in their match against Arsenal.
Andreas Pereira ( Fulham – £4.5m) showed an amazing fighting spirit but couldn’t back it up with his contributions which should allow him to find a consistent form in this season.
Neco Williams ( Nottingham Forest – £4.0m) conceded 2 goals against Newcastle which will be a downgrade considering their next match against West Ham.
Cameron Archer ( Aston Villa – £4.5m) played 8 minutes in the first match and is less likely to have enough game time to make necessary contributions which lands him on the bench.
Captain And Vice-Captain GW 2
Mohamed Salah is our captain because of his fantastic presence of mind to score goals and provide assists.
Erling Haaland will be our vice-captain because of the attacking flare he is bringing to the team.
