Epic Games has confirmed the official start date and time countdown for the Fortnite Halloween event 2022, Fortnitemares, along with update timings, skins and leaks
The developers also revealed a couple of spooky skins available for purchase right now along with a leaked boss fight.

October is always a fantastic time for spooky celebrations with Halloween right up at the end of the month.
Fortnitemares 2022 Event Start Date And Countdown
Epic Games confirmed the start date and time for the Fortnite Halloween event 2022, Fortnitemares, as 01:00 PT, 04:00 ET, and 09:00 BST on October 18.
The update time will come out soon. Epic Games confirmed the above launch day on their official Twitter account.
Meanwhile, the hours are for downtime and maintenance as confirmed by Epic Games’ status account.
The developers have not mentioned how long downtime and maintenance will last, but it probably won’t be too long.
Besides the official date and maintenance, Epic Games has not confirmed anything else about the Fortnitemares event 2022.
Last year the event lasted four weeks but began much earlier on October 5th. If the event goes on for three or four weeks this year too, it will end around November 8th/15th. However, nothing is confirmed as of yet.
Fortnite Halloween Skins And Leaked Boss Fight
Epic Games has released two new spooky skins for Fortnite although not part of the Fortnitemares Halloween event 2022.
After Kitsu and Dreo won the March 2022 Fortnite Concept Royale event, Epic Games has now released their cosmetics, Undying Sorrow and Sinister Glare.
Both skins are available in the item shop for 1,200 V-bucks, or available as a bundle for 1,600.
Reliable leaker Hypex unearthed a boss fight codenamed Freaky back in September for the Fortnitemares event.
Given below is how the boss fight will work according to Hypex:
- Can ‘summon creatures’
- Drops an unreleased/unknown Mythic weapon and a pumpkin launcher (with two rocket ammo)
- Drops two ammo stacks, two consumable stacks, six fireflies
