Get up to speed with the new 2022 calendar of Formula E which consists of 16 grand prix across the globe
FIA has revealed the new calendar of Formula E which is packed with 16 rounds of action and trips to some new venues. Meanwhile, all-electric motorsports have tweaked their regulations a bit and made the cars faster.
All new qualifying format will be put into action from the new season which will feature head-to-head duels between the drivers. Meanwhile, the power of the cars will also increase from 200kW to 220kW which is a major update.

Frederic Bertrand, Director of Formula E said:
“To secure an even more authentic and intuitive sporting format, both our sporting and technical teams at the FIA have put a lot of efforts together, in collaboration with Formula E, to first propose an attractive and disruptive new qualifying session.”
FIA Formula E Championship 2022 Calendar Dates And Schedule
The new 2022 Formula E season will kick off in Saudi Arabia on 28 January and will have one more race the day after. In addition, the next race will be all the way across in Mexico City which will take a lot of time and effort.
The next two races are yet to be confirmed by the FIA owing to the ongoing Covid regulations. But, China only needs to decide the venue where it will host the Chinese Grand Prix in the month of March. Then the paddock will travel to Italy for the European double-header which will end in Monte Carlo.

The following month, Formula E will travel to Berlin in the month of May followed by a trip to Jakarta at the beginning of June. After completing the European tour, Formula E will travel to America for the triple-header which will begin in Vancouver and conclude in New York City.
Meanwhile, London will host 2 rounds at the end of July followed by the season decider race in Japan in the month of August. it will be interesting to see how the Formula E paddock deals with this busy schedule and how the teams and drivers adapt to it.
