What is Formula 2?
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, F2 is the second-tier of the single seater motor racing. Though it is considered as the great breeding ground for F1 and is self styled as the scene of “stars of tomorrow.”
The F2 drivers more than half of it belongs to F1 academy, it’s a ‘one-design’ championship, which means the cars are identical in terms of performance. However, it’s all about the skill of the drivers.
For those who are wondering, let us make it clear, there are a total of 14 race weekends in the F2 season calendar 2023, with two races in every event.
The practice and qualifying of the motor-racing F2 will take place on Friday with a sprint race on Saturday and the main feature race on Sunday.
In the past years, F2 is seem to be reviving. Between 1984 to 2008, F2 was replaced by the Formula 300 series to cut the financial costs.
