Former WWE Star Steve Maclin To Debut At Impact Wrestling

Former WWE star Steve Maclin or Steve Cutler as his ring-name suggests is set to make his debut at Impact Wrestling. Impact aired a special vignette during its episode on Thursday to hint at this development.

The vignette slowly pans through a room with papers on a table and then focuses on a bottle of Jameson with a glass. Maclin picks the bottle up and pours a glass before kicking his feet up on the table. The camera continues to pan until Maclin appears, finishing the glass of whisky. Maclin’s name then appears on the screen confirming his arrival to IMPACT Wrestling.

WWE had released Maclin in February this year, along with Lars Sullivan. Maclin had been with the company, as Steve Cutler, for over seven years. He had made his way from NXT to the main roster as a member of the Forgotten Sons, alongside Wesley Blake and Jaxson Ryker. The team worked in NXT from 2016-2020. But the company soon disbanded the stable after Ryker’s disputable social media activity amidst the Black Lives Matter movement.

Maclin later appeared as one of King Corbin’s knights on Smackdown. WWE released him soon after when he contracted COVID-19 at a New Year’s Eve Party. In an interview, Maclin recounted how his release had ‘just clicked.’ “It was just one of those things,” he said.

Now the former MFPW Heavyweight Champion will be making his debut at IMPACT! The promotion hasn’t confirmed the date yet, but it’s definitely something Maclin needs badly. Apparently, he has not had a his wrestling career decorated enough to warrant a Wikipedia page. His name redirects to Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo’s page as her boyfriend.

So here’s to hoping that he will finally earn that page with his IMPACT! debut, and of course, achieve many more things.
