These cover stars are individuals who have effectively harnessed the digital landscape’s power to connect with large and engaged audiences.
Selection Process
The selection process for these digital luminaries is rigorous and employs a multi-step approach, considering various metrics that gauge influencers’ reach and impact.
These metrics include follower counts, engagement rates, views, reach, and impressions, offering a comprehensive view of their influence. The proprietary Goat Score algorithm is used for ranking, assessing content based on engagement rates and quality of engagement.
The Genuity Score is applied to detect and combat fraudulent practices, such as fake followers. Forbes India also ensures that only verified profiles are included in the list and places importance on the presence of disclosure labels in line with industry standards.
The analysis primarily focuses on three major social media platforms—Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook—that play a prominent role in influencer marketing campaigns.
Creators are not required to be active on all these platforms, and the data is consolidated to provide a holistic view of their influence.
