Tyrone studied at Halifax County High School, before finishing his secondary education at the Fork Union Military Academy. Then he studied at the University of Virginia. He was 6ft 4in tall and weighed close to 109 kg. He was born to Annie P Davis and had a sibling named Jeff Davis. Tyrone Davis Professional Career
Davis made his debut with the Jets on September 3, 1995, in a 52–14 loss against Miami Dolphins. Before the beginning of his second season, Tyrone Davis switched positions from wide receiver to tight end. Tyrone was traded to Green Bay Packers on 26th of August , in 1997, for past considerations, and was tied for the third-most fumble return touchdowns in the league that year.
The Packers went on to reach Super Bowl XXXII, losing to Denver Broncos in the championship game that Davis did not play in. During the later years of his NFL professional career, Davis struggled with weight issues, ending the 2000 season at 277 pounds. He then turned up at a post-draft minicamp the following April at approximately 280 pounds, even though he had been instructed to lose weight.
Davis, later on, underwent surgery in July to repair a torn hamstring, which kept him on the injured reserve list for the majority of 2001 season. He again turned up to minicamp overweight in 2003, and was subsequently released by the Packers after a poor performance at training camp.
