Floyd Mayweather took to social media platforms to show a bill of his colossal winnings after Dustin Poirier defeated Conor McGregor

For all his outlandish statements and claims of knocking out Dustin Poirier, it was Conor McGregor who had to suffer that fate. UFC 264 saw Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier culminate with the Irishman leaving the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on a stretcher.

An awkward landing resulted in Conor McGregor suffering a horrid injury, one which he was unable to recover from. He ultimately ended up surrounding the trilogy matchup to Dustin, much to the delight of a multitude of vociferous viewers.

The joyous celebrations over Dustin’s win were well documented online with a slew of people lashing out at Conor for his shenanigans. And while he didn’t take a direct swipe at Conor, Floyd Mayweather’s post was enough to allude towards what he was hinting at.

Floyd posted a picture of his betting winnings from the showdown. According to the Circa bill, Mayweather had ended up winning a massive $35,000 on the $50,000 he had bet on Dustin Poirier winning the fight.

And Floyd was quick to thank Dustin for his winnings as he wrote, “Thanks for getting me paid.”

With the win, Dustin now leads 2-1 in the matchup between him and Conor. However, while the trilogy was said to be the last of the series between the two, UFC’s Dana White was quick to affirm that this would not be the last time the two would be taking on.

With Conor having to depart injured, Dana said a fourth fight was in the works to bring the series to a proper conclusion. While Dustin might have won this bout owing to Conor’s injury, many believe it was a justified result with Dustin absolutely pummelling Conor in the first round of the square off at UFC 264.

Conor meanwhile refused to quiet down despite being knackered with The Notorious going on with his outburst towards Dustin even after being bundled to the ground with his leg injury.
