The 18th FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship is set to occur in Bengaluru from December 6 to 10, marking the first time India hosts this event. In January, Volleyball World and FIVB announced India as the host for the Men’s Club World Championship for two years, in collaboration with the RuPay Prime Volleyball League. Bengaluru will hold the distinction of being the first Indian city to host the Men’s Club World Championship and the first in Asia since 2012.
Therefore, top players from various countries will participate in India. The host nation, Ahmedabad Defenders, earned their spot by winning the domestic league this year. Placed in Group A, Ahmedabad Defenders will battle against the defending champion Italian club, Sir Safety Susa Perugia, and the Brazilian club Minas Tenis Clube. In their debut season, Ahmedabad confronts a significant challenge, considering Italy and Brazil’s historical success in the competition.
