Claude informs Kieran that he will be gone for a while but will return because he has given Camellius something important. When Kieran tells him he can get it, he declines and tells him to take care of ‘Camellia,’ with a grim expression.
After being duped for so long, Claude assures Kieran that no harm will come to her. Kieran’s mother enters, looking a little shaken because Claude had told Kieran to look after Camellius. Kieran and Camillus are seen leaving the capital.
