Kochi, Kerala, January 17, 2025: The fifth day of the IndusInd Bank Women’s National T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind 2025, the 5th edition, witnessed thrilling semi-final encounters between four competitive teams at Palace Oval, Thripunithura, Kochi
Organized by the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) and Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, hosted by the Cricket Association for the Blind in Kerala, and supported by IndusInd Bank, the tournament has set the stage for an electrifying grand finale.
Semi-Final 1: Madhya Pradesh vs Odisha
In the first semi-final, Madhya Pradesh took on Odisha. Odisha won the toss and chose to field first. Madhya Pradesh seized the opportunity, posting an impressive 169/4 in 20 overs, led by a spectacular knock from Sunita Srathe, who scored 90 runs off 65 balls at a strike rate of 138.46.
Despite a determined chase, Odisha was restricted to 144/7 in 20 overs, falling short of the target. Sunita Srathe was named the Player of the Match for her exceptional batting performance.
Semi-Final 2: Karnataka vs Rajasthan
The second semi-final saw Karnataka go head-to-head with Rajasthan. Rajasthan batted first and posted a total of 149/8 in 20 overs. Karnataka displayed dominance in their chase, comfortably reaching the target with 150/2 in just 18.2 overs.
Deepika Tc shone with an all-round performance, scoring 59 runs off 49 balls and delivering an economical bowling spell of 2 overs for 8 runs, earning her the Player of the Match title.
Grand Final Match Details
The Grand Final Match is scheduled for January 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM. The highly anticipated match will take place at the Palace Oval, Thripunithura, Kochi, featuring a thrilling face-off between Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
