The Indian women’s team, ranked No. 6 in the world, put on a great performance against No. 4 England in their Hockey World Cup Pool B opening, but ultimately settled for a 1-1 draw. After a thrilling match, both teams received one point.

Participating Teams, Countries And Format
Like in 2018, there will be 16 teams participating in the competition. The host nation, Spain, and the Netherlands will all receive automatic spots in addition to the five regional champions. When the 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed, the number of berths made available through continental championships—including the World Cup hosts—was expanded from six to sixteen. The sixteen teams who will participate in this competition are listed below based on the final pre-tournament standings.

2022 Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup India vs England Result, Score, Upcoming Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, And Fixtures
In their opening Pool B match of the FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup 2022, India and England were held to a 1-1 draw on Sunday at the Wagener Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands. In the eighth minute, Petter Isabelle made a field goal to give England the lead. Later, Vandana Katariya scored the equalizer in the second quarter by converting a rebound into a penalty corner. Despite the draw, India will regret the result because they had a number of missed opportunities. Following their encounter against England, India will play China on June 5, then New Zealand on July 7.
