India’s crossover match in 2022 Women’s Hockey World Cup against the second-placed team from Pool C at the Estadi Olmpic de Terrassa will now take place in Catalonia, Spain. The winner of that match will play Australia in the quarterfinals.

Participating Teams, Countries And Format
Like in 2018, there will be 16 teams participating in the competition. The host nation, Spain, and the Netherlands will all receive automatic spots in addition to the five regional champions. When the 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed, the number of berths made available through continental championships—including the World Cup hosts—was expanded from six to sixteen. 2022 Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup India vs Spain Preview, Tournament Journey, H2H Record, Latest Results, Score, Upcoming Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
When the Indian Women play the hosts of the FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup 2022 on Sunday, they will be put to the test. Savita Punia and company, who placed third in Pool B, must defeat the hosts in the crossover match in order to advance to the quarterfinals.
The Indian team, captained by goalie Savita, pulled out two thrilling draws against England (1-1) and China (1-1) before losing to New Zealand by a slim margin of 3-4 in their pool stage of the competition. On July 10 at the Estadio Olimpic de Terrassa, the Indian Women’s Hockey Team will take on the hosts of the FIH Women’s World Cup, Spain.
In the pool stage, Spain’s home team had two victories and a defeat. They defeated Canada 4-1 to start their campaign, but their second encounter ended in a 1-4 loss against Argentina. They managed to recover, though, and beat Korea 4-1 to place second in Pool C.
India and Spain last competed against one another in the FIH Hockey Pro League in 201/22, where both teams split the championship. India prevailed 2-1 in the first game, and Spain triumphed 4-3 in the second game in the doubleheader played earlier this year in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
