A nine-team round-robin competition was originally planned to run from October 2021 to June 2022. Because of the COVID-19 outbreak and travel limitations, New Zealand and Australia announced their withdrawal on September 17, 2021. The FIH announced India and Spain as the replacements on October 8, 2021.

Format And Rules Of FIH Women’s Pro Hockey League 2021-22
The Women’s FIH Pro Hockey League follows the same format as the Men’s PHL. The nine teams compete in a home-and-away round-robin format. After each team has played a total of 16 matches, the top team in the points table will be crowned champion. However, due to their brilliance, Argentina raced to the title much before the last game.

Women’s FIH Pro Hockey League 2022 Latest Results and Score
India upset recently crowned champions Argentina in the FIH Pro League encounter on Saturday, with Gurjit Kaur scoring two goals. India won the penalty shootout 2-1 after a 3-3 tie. Agustina Gorzelany’s hat-trick was cancelled out by Gurjit’s two penalty corner conversions in the 37th and 61st minutes, as well as Lalremsiami’s field goal in the fourth minute, sending the game to a shootout.
