Argentina has already been declared champions of the Women’s FIH Pro League for the 2021–22 season, which is the third iteration of the league. The original idea was for a nine-team round-robin competition to span from October 2021 to June 2022. New Zealand and Australia announced their resignation on September 17, 2021, due to the COVID-19 outbreak and travel restrictions. On October 8, 2021, the FIH announced India and Spain as the replacements.

Format And Rules Of FIH Women’s Pro Hockey League 2021-22
The format of the Women’s FIH Pro Hockey League is the same as that of the Men’s PHL. A round-robin schedule featuring home and away games was planned for the nine teams. After each side had played a total of 16 matches, the table’s top team, Argentina, was declared champion. The lowest-ranked team will be dropped after the 2021-22 season, and the FIH Nations Cup champion will take their place.
Women’s FIH Pro Hockey League 2022 Latest Results and Score
In their second encounter of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2022 tie in Rotterdam on Sunday, the Indian women’s hockey team put up a valiant effort but lost 2-3 to Argentina, the world’s No. 2 team. For India, Salima Tete (23′) and Deep Grace Ekka (48′) scored, while Argentina’s scorers were Delfina Thome (38′), Eugenia Trinchinetti (41′), and Agustina Gorzelany (43′).
Salima spearheaded India’s counterattack with a stunning run in the 23rd minute, eventually finding the back of the net to give her team a 1-0 lead. The Argentines, on the other hand, rode the wave of momentum and equalized in the 38th minute. Argentina got a penalty corner in the 41st minute, and Eugenia Trinchinetti took advantage of the opportunity to deflect the ball into the goal, giving her team a 2-1 lead. Argentina was awarded another PC shortly after, which Gorzelany converted to enable Argentina increase their lead to 3-1.
In the 48th minute, Neha went on a tremendous run that helped India win a PC. Deep Grace Ekka took advantage of the situation and put the ball in the back of the net. India tried everything they could to find an equalizer, but the Argentines remained firm and eventually won the match.
Earlier on Saturday, India had defeated Argentina in their first encounter in FIH Pro League. In the first encounter, India won the penalty shootout 2-1 after a 3-3 deadlock,
Women’s FIH Pro Hockey League 2022 Overall Standings And Points Table
Argentina has already been named champions of the 2022 Women’s FIH Pro League after accumulating 42 points in 16 games and taking a 10-point lead over nearest challenger Netherlands, who has only two games remaining. India is currently in third place in the rankings with 24 points from 12 games, while the Netherlands is in second place with 32 points from 14 games.

FIH Women’s Pro Hockey League 2022 Schedule, Date, Time And Fixtures
On 21st and 22nd of June, Indian Women’s Hockey Team will play United States at Rotterdam, Netherlands in the FIH Women’s Pro Hockey League 2022. After a poor season, the United States Women’s team looks destined to finish last, but they will aim to enjoy a moment of glory against India. In both games, India will hope to overcome the bottom-placed United States and move up to second position in the rankings.
