From January 13 to January 29, 2023, Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup will take place in the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and the 20,000-seat Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, India. At the upcoming world cup, India will begin their campaign against Spain on 13th January with Argentina vs South Africa serving as the kick-off match of tournament.

2023 Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup Format, Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, And Fixtures
The four Pools of the forthcoming FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar – Rourkela were chosen at the draw event, which took place recently at the Convention Centre at Lok Sewa Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. Australia, who are presently ranked first in the FIH World Rankings and took home the bronze medal at the most recent World Cup in 2018, will be heavy favorite in Pool A consisting of France, Argentina , and South Africa. Meanwhile in Pool B, reigning world champions Belgium are expected to face stern challenge against 2002 & 2006 champion Germany with South Korea and Japan completing the group.
Netherlands, who finished as runner-up in the previous edition, will head Pool C and face-off against Oceanian representative New Zealand, as well as rookies Malaysia and Chile.
