2023 Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup Belgium vs Korea results, score, day 3 schedule, date, time, venue, & other details
New Zealand, Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany all won easily on Day 2 of the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023, which also saw the start of Pool-B & Pool-C. In the opening match of the day in Rourkela, New Zealand faced Chile, who initially showed signs of nervousness and allowed the Kiwis to seize the initiative by scoring three goals in the first half. However, Chile came back in the second half and scored their first-ever goal at the FIH Men’s World Cup with a gorgeous counterattacking move to earn a well-deserved consolation goal.
Then it was the turn of the European juggernauts, as each of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany encountered tough competition from Malaysia, Korea, and Japan, respectively, but improved in the second halves to secure easy victories by wide margins after full time. In the second match in Rourkela, Netherlands defeated Malaysia 4-0. Then, in Pool B action in Bhubaneswar, Belgium defeated Korea with five goals in the second half to win 5-0. Germany then followed suit by defeating Japan with three goals in the second half to win 3-0.
Following their comfortable victories on Friday, India and England will lock horns on Sunday knowing the winner will take a big step towards directly qualifying for the quarterfinal. Fans around the world can purchase their tickets from here.
