The International Hockey Federation (FIH) Hockey Pro League 2025 officially began on Saturday, February 15, 2025, check out the full schedule, fixtures, format, squads, venues and tickets for the matches in India
The international hockey competition comes following the end of the 2024-25 Hockey India League (HIL).

The FIH Hockey Pro League 2025 will feature competitions for both the men’s and women’s competitions.
While the Indian men’s team endured a disappointing seventh-place finish (24 points) in the 2023-24 edition of the FIH Pro League, the women finished in eighth place with just eight points from 16 matches.
FIH Hockey Pro League 2025 team India preview
Heading into the competition, the men’s team, led by Harmanpreet Singh, will be looking to make a comeback. In the attack, Mandeep Singh and Lalit Kumar Upadhyay will lead the team while Amit Rohidas and Jarmanpreet Singh alongside Harmanpreet will cover the defense. Aside from them, the squad will also feature various youngsters like Arshdeep Singh, Angad Bir Singh, and Shilanand Lakra.
Meanwhile, the women’s team will have Salima Tete leading the side, alongside Vandana Katariya leading. Meanwhile, Nikki Pradhan, Udita and Jyoti will lead the defensive line and 17-year-old Suneilita Toppo in the midfield.
FIH Pro League 2025 format
The FIH Pro League will feature nine teams each in both the men’s and women’s categories. It is one of the top hockey competitions under the FIH alongside the World Cups. Notably, the winners of each category will directly qualify for the 2026 FIH World Cup. Meanwhile, teams that finish last by the end of the competition will be relegated to the FIH Nations Cup.
All of the teams in the competition will face off against another team twice during the league stage. Notably, all the games will take place at venues of all the countries, excluding Ireland. By the end of league stage, the team with the most points are crowned as the FIH Pro League champion.
