Nathan Chen is an American figure skater who was born on May 5, 1999 and is currently aged 22 years was born in Salt Lake City to a Chinese immigrant couple named Zhidong Chen and Hetty Wang. His Chinese name is Chén Wēi and he has a height of 1.68m.
Nathan went to the West High School in Salt Lake City and Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead, California. He did his graduation from the California Connections Academy.
His Professional Life, Career, Achievements
Not only that he is a professional figure skating, he is trained in ballet from the Ballet West Academy and competed in gymnastics at the state and regional levels for seven years.
He also acquired the 10th and 3rd position in juveniles during the 2007 and 2008 Junior Nationals respectively. During the 2009 Junior Nationals, he clinched the intermediate men’s silver medal.
In the fall of 2018, Chen took admission at Yale University, with a major in Statistics and Data Science. But he took a leave to prepare for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Nathan is a thrice World champion of years 2018, 2019, 2021 respectively. He is a 2022 Olympic silver medalist and also, a 2018 Olympic bronze medalist in the team event. In 2017 he was named the Four Continents champion, a three-time Grand Prix Final champion of 2017, 2018, 2019, and a six-time U.S. national champion of 2017–22.
During his playing time, Chen has the 2015–16 Junior Grand Prix Final champion to his name. He is also a Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist at 2013–14, and 2014 World Junior bronze medalist.

Nathan on this Tuesday etched his name into history by scoring a world record 113.97 in the short program which included a quad flip, a triple axel, and a quad lutz-triple toe loop Combo at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
“I’m just elated,” Chen said in an interview.
