The eTigers had an impressive start on the first day, considering the fact that it was their first-ever appearance.
Saransh Jain, Charanjot Singh, and Siddh Chandarana, and their coach Lokmanyu Chaturvedi, represented the Indian esports team. The team started out with optimistic performances after registering a win against Morocco and draws against Mexico and Italy. However, they failed to register further wins and eventually crashed out.

The Indian e-sports team eTigers has exited the FIFA e Nations Cup after a disappointing debut.
ETigers Register A Good Start
Although not one of the strongest displays in the tournament, Team India certainly had a good start in their FIFAe Nations Cup 2022 campaign. After an intense standoff against Italy, the eTigers recorded their first win against fellow debutant Morocco. The team managed to accumulate 5 points out of 5 games and were placed in 5th position before the final day.
Match Day 2 of FIFAe Nations Cup: Zero Wins
However, things did not work out for the boys on the final day as they suffered defeats in all five of their matches. The eTigers failed to register a single win and improve their point tally. On the second day of the tournament, the matches started with the same fixtures as on day one, playing against Italy.
This time, however, the Italians, who are clear favourites in the group, were up for serious business, unlike on day 1. The Italian team played a high-pressure game against Team India and completely destroyed them, winning 4-1. Following this, India suffered consecutive defeats against all the remaining opponents, including Morocco, whom they beat on the first day.
As such, India’s debut campaign in the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022 came to an end after scoring a measly 5 points from 10 games and ended up finishing at the bottom of the Group D standings. All the matches from the group stages took place at the Bella Arena in Copenhagen.
