The FIFA U20 World Cup 2023 kicks off in Argentina this week and here is all you need to know about, it’s schedule, live stream and fixtures
Six-time champions Argentina will host the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2023, where 24 nations will fight for the title from May 20 to June 11, 2023.
Argentina, who did not qualify for the football event, volunteered to take over after Indonesia’s hosting rights were taken away. The competition was also held in 2001 by the country.

Previous editions of the competition, which is regarded as the breeding ground for future stars, have featured legends of the game including Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Ronaldinho, and Luis Figo.
Since Ukraine, the reigning champion, was unable to proceed to the European qualifiers, Argentina will crown a new champion.
When is the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023?
Argentina will host the FIFA U-20 World Cup starting on Saturday, May 20, and running through Sunday, June 11.
Six groups of four teams each have been drawn for the competition.
Where will the FIFA U-20 World Cup be held?
The competition will be held at La Plata, Mendoza, San Juan, and Santiago del Estero.
Four matches will be contested in San Juan and Santiago del Estero on the opening day of the showcase.
When Argentina plays Uzbekistan in the competition’s opening match at Santiago del Estero Stadium, the hosts will be in the thick of things.
Both cities will host the quarterfinals, while La Plata Stadium will host the semifinals, the play-off for third place, and the championship game.
